A: Yes. Onkosh has this feature called “Family Filter.” You can turn on the Family Filter to block pages and images with adult content from your search results. Just below the search box in the image search homepage as well as its results page, you will find Family Filter is ON; to know where exactly on the page Family Filter is, you will find it highlighted in yellow in the second figure below. In addition, you can find “Family Filter” in the web and blog results pages. Upon clicking on the latter link, you will be prompted to change your preferences; filter or do not filter adult content. If you choose to turn it off, you should choose “Do not filter” in the preferences box shown below, then click “Save Preferences.” A prompt will appear notifying you that “Preferences have been saved” and thus, you will find the link will display Family Filter is OFF.

A: You can click on Add Your Site and add the name and type of your site.

A: This is because the process for adding sites takes between 3 to 4 weeks.

A: Bel-3araby is a unique and exclusive feature used for searching in Arabic by simply entering Roman characters and/or popular character replacements like "3" for "ع" and "7" for "ح".

A: You can find a “Bel-3araby” button just under the search button and the search box on the homepage of Onkosh. You can also find this button on all results pages including images, blogs, news pages, etc. By clicking on it, you could easily type Arabic words in English characters. A: When Bel-3araby is deactivated, what you type will be searched for as it is.

To activate Bel-3araby, click the (Activate Bel-3araby) and it will show (Deactivate Bel-3araby).

When Bel-3araby is activated, as you type, the equivalent Arabic of what you type will be displayed. This is what will be searched for.

A: Use the escape character “\” before each of the English words. For example type: mo7arek \onkosh in the search box and it will give you “محرك onkosh ”.

A: On top of the page and next to the search button, you will find an icon of the Arabic keyboard . By clicking on this icon, the keyboard will expand as shown in the figure below. Click on the Arabic letters and they will be shown in the search box. You can use the keyboard to easily type Arabic characters without having Arabic on your own keyboard.
